TDS Reforged Maps & Modes Guide

Players treat TDS: Reforged like one endless ladder, then wonder why Hardcore feels impossible on day one. Maps and modes are separate decisions. Standard routes teach fundamentals; specialty playlists punish missing slows, economy, or role calls. This guide routes you to the right queue without mixing Paradoxum TDS assumptions into Vince Games’ fan place.

Confirm the experience first

Before choosing a map, open the verified Roblox place from the Links Hub. Reforged is unofficial and not affiliated with Paradoxum. If search sent you to official Tower Defense Simulator, read Vs Official TDS and return here only after joining Vince Games’ lobby.

Claim group +$100 cash and skim Controls so sells and targeting are automatic. Economy habits from Economy & Cash matter on every map tier.

Standard maps — your training ground

Standard / learning maps exist to install placement rhythm: cover the long straightaway, upgrade one reliable tower, sell before spike waves, swap targeting when hiddens or bosses appear. Finish Getting Started on a standard route before chasing triumphs.

Use the Wave Checklist before each standard run. Log the wave you first felt poor—that number becomes your economy breakpoint note after patches. When Live Status shows a universe update, re-clear one standard map before touching specialty modes.

Hardcore — first real exam

Hardcore punishes greedy legendaries and rewards disciplined banking. Follow Solo Hardcore and compare carries on the Hardcore Tier List. Enforcer showcases appear often, but golden routes like Golden Minigunner remain valid when the patch allows.

Do not queue Hardcore while still leaking on wave 8 in standards. That leak is almost always cash timing, not “Hardcore being unfair.”

Death Invasion & Polluted Core — constraint modes

Death Invasion and Polluted Core add rule pressure beyond raw DPS checks. They expect you to bring control—see Slowing Towers—and a flex slot that is not another copy of your late carry.

Clear Hardcore at least once with a stable five-slot plan in the Loadout Planner before specializing here. Read Modes Overview for how Vince Games positions each playlist.

Casino & admin-style variance

Casino Mode and similar specialty rules introduce economy twists and enemy mixes that break Enforcer-only tunnel plans. Pack flexible towers from the Overall Tier List and keep splash or air answers such as Golden Ace Pilot in mind.

Treat Casino as a lab: change one Loadout Planner slot per attempt, not the whole board after one leak.

Custom gamemodes — author responsibly

The custom gamemode editor is a headline Reforged feature—see Custom Gamemode. Author solo first; if you cannot clear your own rules, friends will quit. Hosts should share map name, patch day, and role calls from the Co-op Guide when inviting testers.

After patches

Universe metadata showed Vince Games activity around 12 Aug 2026. When timestamps move, run the retest queue on Patch Notes and Live Status—Codes UI, economy breakpoints, then one specialty mode. Do not rewrite every tier list from a single Discord screenshot.

Pick one map, one mode, one loadout change per session. Evidence beats rumor—especially when YouTube titles say only “TDS” without naming Reforged.
