Split roles, share sell calls, and test custom gamemodes without softlocking the lobby.

TDS Reforged Co-op Multiplayer Guide

TDS: Reforged supports group play—the Roblox place allows sizable lobbies—and the custom gamemode editor is designed so you can test modes with friends. Co-op fails when four players all buy the same late carry and ignore early pathing. This guide turns a chaotic lobby into a short role-call checklist before wave one.

Before you invite

  1. Everyone joins the Vince Games group for +$100 cash.
  2. Share this wiki’s verified place from the Links Hub so nobody lands on official Paradoxum TDS by mistake (Vs Official TDS).
  3. Agree on a mode: standard practice, Hardcore, Death Invasion, Polluted Core, Casino, or a custom gamemode you authored.
  4. Confirm everyone can open Codes UI if you plan to farm gifts first — see Active Codes.

Skipping the place-ID check wastes more time than any wipe. Fans of official TDS will instinctively search “TDS” and join the wrong experience.

Role calls that work

  • Early coverage — cheap DPS watching the first straightaway.
  • Economy / support — income or buffs that enable the spike.
  • Main carry — late DPS such as Enforcer or golden options from Golden Towers.
  • Utility / slow — see Slowing Towers.
  • Flex — boss melt or emergency path fill.

Lock roles in the Loadout Planner and paste the five slots in chat before queue. If someone insists on a duplicate late carry, demote one to flex or early coverage instead of arguing mid-wave.

Communication during waves

Call sells before spike waves, not during a leak. Call targeting swaps when hiddens, leads, or bosses appear. If someone is broke, loan path coverage instead of flaming—then review Economy & Cash after the match.

Use short callouts: “sell farm on 18”, “slow left path”, “carry upgrades only”. Long essays in chat lose runs. Keep the Wave Checklist open on a second monitor for the host.

Custom mode playtests

When hosting a custom mode, playtest solo first with a mid-tier loadout. If you cannot clear your own ruleset, friends will quit. Author waves, bosses, and rules with the Custom Gamemode loop, then invite. Tell guests which rules differ from Hardcore so they do not import the wrong Hardcore Tier List assumptions.

After patches

Universe data shows Vince Games still ships updates (including activity around 12 Aug 2026). Re-confirm role priority on Hardcore tiers after balance notes on Live Status and Patch Notes. New skins or toys from Engineer Showcase should replace one role at a time, not the whole squad kit.

Softlock and etiquette rules

  • Do not AFK on early path.
  • Do not sell a teammate’s only coverage without a call.
  • Do not force scripts on the lobby—read Scripts Safety.
  • Host should state map, mode, and patch-day assumptions before ready-up.

Checklist

Party ready-check: group cash claimed, place ID correct, roles pasted, Wave Checklist ticked, one practice goal written. Related hubs: Guides, Towers, Updates, Controls.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many players can join?

The Roblox place advertises a high max-player cap; practical squads of 2–4 communicate better than a full lobby.

Should everyone bring Enforcer?

No. Duplicate late carries starve economy. Split early, economy, carry, and utility.

Can we test custom modes together?

Yes—that is a headline Reforged feature. Author safely, then invite friends.

What if a teammate uses scripts?

Read Script Safety first. Automation can break after patches and may violate Roblox rules.

Who should host the custom mode?

The author who already solo-cleared the ruleset. Guests should not debug balance mid-match.

How do we recover after a wipe?

Change one shared role, re-run a standard map warm-up, then retry the specialty mode.
